You're taking a move as old as the freaking industrial revolution and painting it as if it was something new. We're in dry investments period, companies are in full damage control mode, small companies that worked on angel capital like yours sounds like even more. Companies will do anything to cut costs. Of course the CEO will say what they are saying. They are just trying to fool you into thinking it's some kind of AI super power instead of what really is: paying a 30$ subscription instead of a real engineer salary and making whoever is left work twice as much to keep up. Make no mistake, if ChatGPT didn't exist, you would be seeing the exact same thing.
