I really like the phrasing of the last part of your comment, however I think the difference in this case with AI is that it will disrupt the job market and economy exponentially more than the trickling out of the internet did. We as a society are not prepared for such job displacement/technological advancements happening so quickly without regulation in place. Just my thoughts, happy to hear additional insights.
