While everyone here is saying facial recognition is bad, I'm going to disagree. I support the use of facial recognition in law enforcement in order to get probable matches. The keyword is probable and helps narrowdown the list of suspects from maybe 1000 to 10 very likely people. After that it should be left to humans to do some good old fashion detective work and make sure who out of 10 people were actually present at the scene of the crime. In this case, the police did not do their job. Facial recognition should also never be the sole factor in determining if someone goes to jail.
