unless you own the platform yourself, you are subject to all the rules set by that platform, same is true of any social platform. sure, its a shitty practice to censor user content, but the option as a user is not to use the platform. all the platforms perform censorship, for various purposes and reasons. I've had several of my tweets or replies deleted or hidden because twitters "algorithm" made a "mistake". they did correct their mistake after complaining, but the censorship mechanic is there. i dont use twitter much anymore, or use facebook at all, not interested in tiktok or similar platforms like snapchat. The bottom line is these are not really social media platforms anymore, they are marketing platforms, that share your information with whoever wants to buy it or whatever government agency wants to profile you.
