The world has gone to shit, of course, but it doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with supporting the Hong Kong protests. **This isn't a fucking contest.** "Someone is having it worse" is no excuse to belittle and denounce what millions of people are fighting for. Conflict is everywhere; media freedom is not. I absolutely agree that conflicts in other parts of the world must have more coverage, but honestly it's only natural that a major port city acting as the hub between the Western and Eastern worlds under the influence of a corrupt superpower will get more media attention. You want to spread the word and get more media attention on all of the world's shitshows? By all means, spread the word! But whatever you do, do not undermine the attention that another world event is receiving.
