People are stopped/arrested/convicted all the time based on fuzzy human memory, sketches, lineups, etc
Even 90% is much much more accurate than humans and could lead to thousands of arrests of shitty people with outstanding warrants.
Obviously facial recognition shouldn’t be considered foolproof but not embracing technology that makes our society safer is for Luddites.
