The problem is you can't effectively ban it because it is too easy to do. Pretty much any camera can be used to do facial recognition, the only way to ban facial recognition is to ban cameras. Not to mention there is so many other ways you could get around it to track people that banning facial recognition does almost nothing. I mean you can track people by their devices they carry such as phones and tablets more easily than facial recognition. Then they can track your movements by license plate as well. The fact is you can't really stop the tracking and surveillance, the best you can do is make sure it is used in a responsible way as the good when used properly will outweigh the bad.
