Indian greenhouse gas emmissions are well below China and U.S. per capita. https://www.wri.org/blog/2018/08/numbers-new-emissions-data-quantify-indias-climate-challenge Yes, India burns a lot of coal for electricity production but in other categories India releases a lot less greenhouse gases total than U.S. or China per capita becuase India has more earth friendly and/or less agriculture and industry. Also, if you look at historic totals, U.S. burned a shit tonne of coal in it's history. Greenhouse gas emissions are a total accumulation over time (release minus carbon captured by sustainable things like trees). Yes India must address climate change. But it is much more urgent that China and U.S. reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
