It's sad that the government can't keep from making people uncomfortable about this. I don't mean the Trump government, I mean any government. Facial recognition technology is a godsend for the police. It makes it hard for criminals to keep away from the law, but at the same time it can be abused to track everyone who isn't a criminal at the same time. If you could trust the powers that be to not store any data on you and instead just look at faces to find criminals, that would be great. It would solve a lot of problems. Just don't save any data at all, just keep a continuous look-out for the wanted people and alert the police when they pop up and it would be fine. But no, we can't have that. It's a revolutionary technology that we can't trust the government to treat responsibly.
