A large part, yes, but it's also down to growing monoculture foods, use of pesticides, consumption of (non renewable!) topsoil, washing fertilizers into rivers and seas, discharge of industrial byproducts, etc etc etc. Nothing we do is sustainable. And every year, we do more of it.
