this seems to bring up even more questions lol. why are cyclones between 30 and 60 degree latitude called extratropical? if that region is truly called "extra tropical" then why don't more sources reference it as such? the is truly an enigma, wrapped up in a mystery, and folded into the shape of a question mark.
