This is an understandable stance Japan is taking, but really Japan has a lot less to worry about than most other countries. Much of their products have a much greater market penetration in America than their American Counterparts do in Japan, and they are a huge economy to sell to.
I think every other country currently has a bilateral trade agreement has with the United States like Chile, Peru, Korea, Singapore, and a whole bunch other have a lot more to worry about because they are probably next if Trump wants a new target to beat on.
