Yup. Imagine Vietnam war, but instead of american people, you just send the equivalent of american cars. No PTSD veterans coming back, no public backlash because of drafting. Only some filtered news and youtube documentaries covering what happens.
In the end tax rise would become the only real reason for population to be against war. Not to mention that many people would make their living by working in the "car" industry. Except it would be all automated ... damn, I now I made myself dread the future.
