I agree, that battle is unwinnable though. Shout matches and the power to deplatform plus how easy modern communication tech makes blocking/censoring/moderating are contributing. I mean, maybe it's not actually worse than it used to be and we're just more exposed now to the gigantic chasms that already existed between kinds of people.
