This is a relatively niche case, but doctors routinely work this much in the US. Resident physicians, especially surgeons, often work up to 80 hours a week (which is the maximum), but it's not uncommon to stay longer than they're technically allowed to, going up to 100 hours in a week. They're not called residents for nothing. And these guys are getting paid about $60,000 a year (so the hourly rate is pretty bad), working on high-stress cases, while sitting on a quarter million in student debt. It's pretty brutal.
