Honestly I think this is a case of be careful what you wish for. The problem with ending "Pax Americana" is that it will inevitably lead to a more unstable world as nations become more militarily independent which in the long term won't be a good thing for America. The lessons of WW2 show that appeasement and isolationism do not work in the long term.
