Thanks for the article. I have a theory for the last years that I havent put quite together yet, about the possibility that biological bodies tend to race for complexity to generate a structure that could "host" consciousness to use it as a tool to gain an edge in its eternal battle for survival. But that consciousness is something that exists by itself in some other realm. So we are just random parts of this "thing" that got trapped by biology. What AI would mean in this context, is that consciousness could try to develop itself a non biological structure with enough complexity to host itself to be free from this biological trap.
