That's not true though. I took a self driving Uber in Pittsburgh last week, and yeah, for the most part the guy behind the wheel was driving, but for a 3 mile stretch it was self-driving. There's a screen in the backseat that tracks self-driving distance and shows you the real-time mapping of the area that you're driving through, and at no point during it did the guy have to take over. It took turns with turn signals, adjusted speed to changing speed limits, etc. It was a very, very cool experience.
