He's right. There's no doubt automation and robotics will have a huge impact on the economy in ways we're only starting to explore, but we'll just have to deal with them. I'm sure telephone and elevator operators didn't like it when their jobs were automated, but they figured it out. Granted we've never seen automation on this scale before, but we'll figure it out somehow.
Edit: but he's wrong on the taxes, taxes will almost undoubtedly be the solution. The question is what to tax if we're not taxing income of the workers.
