Advanced technology needs surplus cheap energy and extractable mineral resources, as well as supply chains that are global.
The only way to address the above is molecular manufacturing, which we failed to develop in the 1980s and 1990s. Now we're out of time and cash and talent for R&D. Shortcuts via superhuman artificial intelligence are blocked for the same reason.
