Prices aren't fixed, though, and money doesn't have inherent value. If you double everyone's income without corresponding growth in the real physical economy of food, power and work hours the value of the currency will halve. If you concentrate all the money in one place, most people will struggle to afford luxuries, prices are influenced by what the wealthiest are able to pay.
