Peer reviewed source?? Good lord. Just look at a map of tectonic plate subduction zones. This is a basic fact of geology and has been accepted for decades or even centuries. No theories, no mathematical model guessing. This isn't some guy taking photos with a drone and plotting graphs in excel to publish in some half ass journal. Subduction zones and oceanic ridges are proven fact. Plates shift apart, plates slide under each other. The Solomons sit in an area where the Pacific plate and the Australian plate meet. Along the boundary, one slides under and the other on top. Along the boundary they trade which wins and which loses. Hence the crumbling, quaking, loss of land in places and rise of land in others. Learn your basic facts and quit this incessant harping "peer reviewed studies are the truth". Peer review isn't even a real thing beyond fifty years ago. And these days it's mostly just garbage that means "my friend with a similar grant thinks so too". Learn some real science. Next time just Google subduction zone and learn on your own.
