If this is the case, and assuming each person is being paid a generous $50k/year, that amounts to a savings of only 350 million. I wonder what they'll do to recoup the rest of the $6.2 billion. My company just laid off 50 people over losing a 10 million dollar contract. They consider this a "loss", even though they never had that 10 million to begin with, they just didn't win the contract. 50 people being paid $11/hour or about $22k/year. This is only 1.1 million over the year. It's funny to me how the workers are always the first to go, as if they're some massive expense to these companies.
