I doubt that entire space programs get canceled based on the whims and wishes of one person. There are usually bonds and such for astronauts. I suspect underlying reasons that are not being discussed in public by the South Koreans. If this is not so than the space programme really was an amateurish operation and this has no business sending people into space anyway.
